A change in my horse because of a change in me. Sandy agreed to my last minute ask to come to work with my horse which I piggy backed on to a huge tack sale event earlier that day. I was energized from the event and my horse was energetic because asked him to work with me during his beloved dinner session. Sandy helped us establish periods of connection, responsiveness and confidence through engaging micro activities in hand and under saddle around the farm. We both began to understand the purpose and I could feel the relaxation and elasticity that I adore with my horse. I enjoyed the change in us, and gained some new confidence to work through times when my horse and I are both energized. Such a great feeling. Looking forward to the next time. Working on connection and responsiveness Sandy gave us a great private lesson. She has a knack for seeing what you need to improve your ability to communicate with your horse. She asks questions in a way that makes you think and break down the pieces of what you are doing and why. She helps both horse and rider search for answers so it becomes incorporated in your and your horses way of working together. When I struggled with getting a clear picture of what I was trying to work on, she had me get on her teaching assistant, Gus, so I could get a feel and picture of what I was working toward - this was really helpful. Her ability to guide and collaborate with us makes for an enjoyable and positive learning experience. -Mary

1st Liberty session I had so much fun & truly enjoyed the experience of seeing my boy Duke, kick up his heels & then search for his human (me)! Training my brain to see where I’m supposed to exert the energy but quietly. Figuring out that if he stayed w/me, no matter what I did, he was quietly happy. Thank-you Sandy/Rocky & Becky/Finn for playing & sharing a wonderful 1st with us! We’ll be back! -Carolyn

Liberty Liberty is the true test of your connection with your horse, Sandy encourages her students to try, there is no wrong try, today I learned more about follow my line and comfort is with me not with the other horse being goofy & running around. How my body and focus translate to conversation with my horse. Amazing how focus translate to your horse as communication.-Colleen

Connection and Responsiveness Connection is so fun to have but so easily lost with Finn. Sandy has been helping me to improve my connection with Finn by being aware of how I position my body. With her help I am able to understand that what I do greatly influences how Finn will respond. Even though he still leaves me often he is quicker to come back. Having other horses in the arena at the same time really tests the connection and Sandy makes it so much fun. We are also working on responsiveness. Go means go. This has been a problem for me but with Sandy's help we are making progress. She makes learning fun with her style of teaching. Looking forward to continuing our journey with her help and encouragement. -Becky
